What you can do!

1. Ask your local and national elected officials to be a part of the solution

•Ask that they re-establish affordable housing to levels that address the real need

•Ask that they prioritize basic human rights like housing & healthcare

2. Stand up for the rights of all your neighbors and believe in a community based in non-violence and compassion

•Volunteer in your community where you can build relationships across class lines

•Inform yourself of the real causes of homelessness particularly the lack of livable wages and affordable housing. The WRAP report on housing policy failures is one great resource

•Tell your friends about Sisters’ book and ask them to be a part of working on solutions and creating a compassionate community with you
